Wake Review for 4/6/08

Wake is our weekly meeting for Junior High students at Watermark. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00am on the 4th floor of the Watemark Tower. Here is my assessment of this week's Wake.

Program Outline
Attendance: Below Average (9am may be creating a new "average")
Fun Factor: Above Average
Leader Presence: Average
Music: Above Average
Message: Average

This was week 2 for the grand 9am service experiment. We worked really hard again to make it extra fun for all those Junior Highers who had to arrive 2 hours earlier than normal. The kids loved the new additions from last week so we brought back the pancakes as well as the fully stocked the "Guest Suite" for visitors.

To start things off, we enjoyed a second interruption from my personal favorite skit character, "The Interrupter" and showed an inside-joke-ish video called "Mike Talks to College Girls" poking fun at our High School Directors unparalleled willingness to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone.

After music, I started a new series about serving called "Shape Up & Ship Out". Below are some pictures I used to open my talk and make a fun connection with the crowd. If you're interested, click here to see the discussion guide that the Small Groups use throughout the week.
